Welcome to the
Hill Ski Club
We're a
very informal and fun-loving bunch of people, always getting together
for fun outdoor activities: skiing, biking, white water rafting,
hiking, camping, and any other fun outdoor stuff you can think of.
Although
we're based at Hill Air Force Base (just south of Ogden), we're open
to
anyone, civilian or military. In fact, many of our members have had no
affiliation with the military at all!
|
We meet periodically at local restaurants in the Layton area for our
meetings,
enjoying snacks, drinks and good company as we go over our fun trips
or just
trade jokes and tall ski tales.
|
To
join our club, click
here.
This page will help you download a printable application form. Just
print it, fill it out, and mail it to us with a check for $15, and
we'll send you your membership card.
|
|
Our club has joined with others in the region to form the
Intermountain Ski Council.
We all share a pool of expertise, trips, and people to provide more
fun activities and better discounts than ever possible.
Click here to read more about us, the
council, and the national organizations that will make this even
better!

8 November, Social Dinner at MacCool's
|
About 10 of us showed up for a great meal, fine specialty beer, and
fun conversation with good friends.
We'll be doing more of this later next month.
In fact, the food was so tasty that John and Ken couldn't decide
who got the leftovers!

and will do a simplified web version.

IMPORTANT E-MAIL TIPS!
Some folks are
not getting e-mail, especially those people with Hotmail. This
is usually easy to fix, though. Some common solutions are:
- Empty your
mailbox.
If your mailbox is full, then mail just gets bounced back. Sometimes
the free services such as Yahoo mail and Hotmail don't even bounce
them
back: they often just vanish. Remember that since we're all plagued
with spam, mailboxes fill up faster.
- Check your filter settings. Are you blocking us? are
you only allowing certain names attached to valid e-mail addresses?
- Is your spam filter too aggressive?
If it's blocking our messages then it's probably blocking other
important stuff as well. "Don't toss out the baby with the bathwater!"
- Tune up your computer.
Make sure it's running ok: keep the taskbar clean, defrag regularly,
clean out the temporary internet files, etc. If you don't, then your
machine gets "clogged arteries and diabetes."
Remember, your
system's like a car: if you keep it serviced and cleaned, it'll work a
lot better. And you'll get those messages for our great "low tech" fun
events!
