So ... where do we fit
in the world of skiing?
|
|
This past summer our club and others in the region formed the
Intermountain
Ski Council. This means that we can get more people to fill
our trips, and we'll
have more trips to choose from each year.
In addition, this larger population means that we have a louder
voice for getting real discounts from businesses.
In fact, we're already getting some fantastic discounts.
It gets even better. Our council is also about to belong to the Far West Ski Association.
This is the oldest organization of ski clubs in the nation, helping
ski clubs do fun things together since 1930.
As members of the FWSA, we can also sign up for many of the
activities that the other clubs in other regional councils are
running.

Here's how it works:
|
We five clubs are now part of the Intermountain
Ski Council ...
|
|
|
... which is applying to join the Far West Ski
Association ...
|
|
|
... which is a member of the National Ski Council
Federation:
|
|
So, let's see if we got this straight: Our club now belongs to a
council of a few thousand members
... which will belong to the Far West Ski Association of several
thousand
more members
... which belongs to the National Ski Council Federation of even
more thousands of members
... resulting in lots more great trips and incredible discounts to
choose from
... all of this for a $15 membership in the Hill Ski Club
yep, that sounds about right. We're in for some great
fun this year
and for many years after!
